I guess we could chalk it up to there being too much estrogen in the house. Or the fact that Lincoln stares at us with the saddest eyes whenever we have to leave her "friends." But let's be honest - the second we received email "you interested in a new puppy?" from our good friend in Seward, Nebraska and a tiny little squishy faced pip stared us right in the eyes - how could we say no?
Ask yourself one question: could you say no to this face?

So, what's with the name? The little man arrived on St. Patty's Day this year and his uncle Jacob suggested Murphy. Mike has a crazy fraternity brother friend (crazy Craig) who's alter ego after a couple of barley pops is "Mcc - with two c's!" and MccMurphy has a nice little ring to it. So far, it's Mcc when he is naughty and Murph all other times.
Stinker and Murph had a little rough go at first but now they are total buds. Here is just a typical frog-fest after playing in the yard. Look how little he is compared to his big sis!

Now, anyone who knows Lincoln also knows her obsession with the Frisbee. If she had to choose between us and that dirty little thing we would get the boot, no doubt. It didn't take long for Murph to learn how to be a little retriever just like his big sis. It's not quite as easy for him... he usually gets caught up running, trips, then tumbles before picking it back up and trying again.

Yay for our new fam!
