We kicked off the season at Mike’s parents new cabin for Turkey day. Stinker had the time of her life barking at wild turkeys and deer while we devoured the delicious food. Herman made an incredible chipotle cranberry sauce- it is my new favorite holiday recipe!
Check out this little turkey-barker-atter / maniac puppy... in action! Those are some fast pins!

The next weekend we were back in Payson where the Crones and Jason/Keri Klan joined us for the second annual Christmas Tree Cutting up north. Our neighbors brought their adorable daughter, Lily along for the festivities (see her cute pic below). This year’s tree is stouter than the last (thankfully…no more Charlie Brown piddley trees).
What would a Christmas cutting excursion be without a grip of dogs?
As promised, a cutie picture of Lily Bug. Poor little lady fell and cut her lip about 10 minutes after this picture was taken...it's tough to be 1 sometimes.
At last! Arbole de Navidad, el segundo!
And last night we rounded out the pre-Christmas excitement with our second ginger-bread house party & dinner! Mike was the grill-master and made an a-ma-zing Mexi-flank steak. Delicious red meat + roasted poblano & jalapeno peppers + pepper jack cheese all stuffed it the belly of the steak = pure ecstasy! We had 15 fabulous family members over and this year’s houses might have actually beat out last years…. Except for our sad house-turned-stable when one of the walls broke. Check out gummy bears Mary, Joseph and the baby JC below… MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
Who knew we could seat 15 people for dinner in our little 1300 SF house?!

Now, before you judge my Mary & Joseph have YOU every tried making holy figurines out of gummies? Let's just say it takes a creative mind...
