Christmas Tree Cutting, Take Four!

One of favorite traditions came early this year.  By mid-November every weekend in December was consumed by parties and events so we cut down Christmas trees the weekend of Turkey Day this year.  And I must say I have LOVED having the decorations up and running for a full month!  For those of you interested in starting the tradition, check out the US Forest Services Webiste in late September for updates regardign when the permits are available. Usually it's mid-October and they go fast!
This year we had a crowd of 6.5 plus pups!  Keri & Jason's little man is due to arrive at the end of the month.  His first Christmas Tree cutting pic - yay!

IMPOSSIBLE to get both dogs focused for a pic this year.

Our living tree!

This is my fav pic.  Mike put Murphy to work this year - he is pulling the tree along...just like the poor dog in the Grinch!

Yay Croners!

As we say good-bye to 2011 it's always fun to share one (or two!) last memories with close friends.  it's funny how lives change - a weekend-long lazy trip to the cabin is not as easy to achieve as it once was.  But we are lucky to have the company of friends and loved ones as often as we can get it!  2012 here we come!
